| Consumption of soy products has been associated with numerous health benefits.1 The Japanese diet, which we advocate as an essential part of Ray and Terry’s Longevity Program, includes soy products on a daily basis. The Japanese people who consume moderate amounts of soy products almost every day experience the longest lifespan of any people on earth.2 The primary ingredients in soy that leads to its health benefits are the soy isoflavones, genistein and daidzein. Our soy isoflavone supplement contains 10.73 mg of genistein and 22.25 mg of daidzein per capsule. The FDA has allowed the following health claim about soy: "25 grams/day of soy protein, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease." The American Heart Association has officially recommended consumption of 25 grams or more of soy protein daily. Soy isoflavones are structurally similar to the human estrogen molecule. Many of the uncomfortable symptoms of menopause are due to decreased levels of estrogen and can be ameliorated by consuming soy products or taking soy isoflavones.3 By acting as a weak estrogen, soy isoflavones are able to stimulate bone formation.4,5 By binding to estrogen receptors in the prostate, soy isoflavones are also able to block the binding of natural estrogen.6 Dosage: One capsule, 1-2 times daily. This product contains 125 mg gross soy protein per capsule, standardized to yield 50 mg pure isoflavones per vegetarian capsule. Ray & Terry’s Soy Isoflavones contains 60 vegetarian capsules per bottle. Ray & Terry’s Soy Isoflavones product is equally effective when taken with or without food. However, if your digestive system is sensitive, you may want to take your supplements with meals. | Supplement Facts | | Serving Size: 1 Veggie Capsule |
