Blood Pressure Support

Blood pressure is composed of two numbers-systolic and diastolic pressure-and measures the force of blood against your artery walls. Systolic pressure indicates the force of the blood while the heart beats and the diastolic measures the force of the blood during the relaxation between heartbeats. Overall blood pressure is expressed as systolic/diastolic such as 110/80.

Elevated blood pressure increases inflammation in the coronary arteries, which contributes to heart disease. A study of 10,874 men reported in the Archives of Internal Medicine showed that people with mild hypertension - blood pressure 140/90 to 160/105 - had a 50 percent higher risk of dying of coronary heart disease. Even those with “high-normal” blood pressure (also known as prehypertension and defined as readings between 120/80 and 140/85) had a 34 percent higher risk of heart attack.1 Many other studies have demonstrated how high blood pressure can accelerate the build up of plaque in the arteries and increase the likelihood of a heart attack.

Hypertension is also a symptom of metabolic syndrome and can lead to kidney disease and blood vessel damage. As we age, our blood vessels become more rigid and resist the normal fluctuations of blood pressure, which may result in elevated levels.2

Optimal blood pressure is less than 120/80. Ray & Terry recommend following a lifestyle and supplement program to maintain close to this level or below. The first step is to adopt our nutritional recommendations and follow our program to attain your optimal weight. It is also important to keep up with a regular exercise program and limit sodium, caffeine and alcohol consumption in the diet.

Our Blood Pressure Support is formulated with natural supplements to provide additional support to help maintain blood pressure already within a normal range. Blood Pressure Support contains garlic, green tea extract, polyphenols from hibiscus flower powder, olive leaf, coleus forskolii, hawthorn and more.

A healthy diet includes fresh garlic and other features from the Mediterranean style of eating, which promotes a healthy heart and body. Garlic is associated with normal blood pressure levels and can help maintain a healthy blood pressure.3,4

Green Tea contains ECGC (epigallocatechin-3-gallate), a powerful antioxidant with protective polyphenols to support heart health. Green tea consumption may help maintain blood pressure already within a normal range.5 Blood Pressure Support contains a decaffeinated green tea extract.

Polyphenols found in plant materials including hawthorne, hibiscus, coleus forskohlii, and olive leaf, can help support cardiovascular health. Research indicates that polyphenols are helpful to maintain blood pressure already within a normal range.6

Dosage: Take one capsule twice daily or as directed by your physician.

Ray & Terry’s Blood Pressure Support contains 90 gelatin capsules per bottle.
